I like my egos. Got a rubber one and a mesh. I fish a lot by myself and can one arm either one. When catching fish with long poles and short line you've just got to hand walk up the pole a bit before netting.

I've tried a lot of things. I am convinced there is nothing that is pleasant to hold out 16 feet in front of me one-handed while fighting the wind, etc. by myself.
I ended up going back with my painter's pole attached to my rubber net. However I put a length of foam pipe insulation with a short section of pool noodle in the center. Having the extra flotation in the center "rights" the net when I sling it 16 ft. ahead into the water.
All you gotta do is slide the net in the water and slip the fish into it, and then pull it back to you.
I highly recommend you try it before more expensive alternatives. It works great:

Learn to land a fish without a net. I never use one when fun fishing. Guiding or tourney fishing is the exception.

I do Feelay, exceptions happen...a big, heavy, over built net is in the way more than it is used..When I was younger...none of them would have been a problem..now it seems everything is a problem.....I just have to think things thru more. ..
Thanks for the replies guys. I like my ego net but have had two of them stop functioning correctly. That being said ego sent me the handles free both times. I'm mainly wanting something easier for guests to use bc I take a lot of people new to spider rigging, longlining, and trolling cranks. Spider rigging I use baitcast reels. The way to go for sure. Most people I take have only cork fished or single pole fished. I had suspicions about the Jenko net. I don't know that I can use one that flimsy. Will consider everyone's comments before making a decision. Thanks again
