Sounds like the southern crappie rods are the way to go. Not to stiff and good sensitivity. Gonna order some 14's.

Jenko makes a great trolling rod, and has also developed an additional series of trolling rods. They have hit the market in the past few years and are very competitive.

I mostly use the bass pro trolling rods in 16 ft. that I got on sale and a 3 year replacement warranty on.
They are very stout rods and versatile. All but the biggest fish I can haul in without a net; unlike my old Capps and Coleman rods (which I miss). However those C&C rods were the cause of my invention for easier landing of fish when solo and trying to get them in from 16 ft. out. Just throw her down in the water and drag the fish into the net!

For the price, HT Crappie Commander, 2 piece 14' pole about $30. I do everything with em. I'm sure the higher priced poles are good. I just can't feel a $45 per bite difference.
I bought a set of Ozarks pro series 14ft trolling rods this winter and I love them. plan to buy another set to replace my capps and coleman rods next year to have a complete set of 8 ozarks. swinging in 2 pound fish without netting them. I doubt I will ever switch to anything else after using the ozarks

Yep, very good to me too. Had a set for years but gradually broke em til I had 3 left. Went cheaper then
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
