For the money I would say the Southern Crappie Rods are hard to beat.

Rees is spot on. Southern Crappie rods are excellent and very reasonably priced. Also Ed is a good man who will provide good customer service. Just ordered two more yesterday.

BnM Capps and Coleman. Rakes getting used too but it is worth the learning curve.

Do y'all use the extra heavy rod SCR122T for up to 2oz? I usually only troll with 1oz max weights don't know how the action of the extra heavy would be detecting the light bites. Would the SCR122 action be to light for trolling?

I have had bnm, ozark, southern crappie, and they are all a little different. Bnm Capps and Coleman are super sensitive, have to be careful swinging larger fish in with them, nice rods tho. Ozarks were good, just bowed the rod too far towards the handle for my liking. Southern crappie rods are tough and great running light 3/8oz rigs up to 1 oz. only change I made was painting the tips. I just ordered denali rods, which are not cheap btw. Bang for your buck would be ed at southern crappie. Great fella btw. He overshipped on the rods and would not let me repay him for the extra pole.

I have a mix of BNM and southern crappie rods and the southern crappie rods are by far my favorite.
