Thread: Got to check on the bream size at lake Lamar Bruce today!

Doc Simms RIP and I used to catch huge Brim and Shellcracker in the back in the late 80s. Year Round, winter was actually best and we would use 4# pound test, 1/32 oz jig heads and meal worms.........tons would congregate in the ditches in 24' of water.......incredible table fare from that cold water.
Don Cullum, now an Alderman in Saltillo did an amazing job fertilizing and maintaining that lake.
We will have to see what this "new" lake produces in a few more years.

Glad to hear they are growing since the renovation of the lake. I used to go up there and whack them big ole good'ns
It was back before rod holders were popular and I almost had several snatched out of the boat.
