    Default 3/20 at the Rez

Boy howdy what a day, woke before my alarm and got going a bit early. Must have been fate because my early departure from the house allowed me to get the LAST 100 minnows at Tommy's. y'all boys sure put a hurtin on them over the weekend! Tried a few spots based on where they SHOULD have been with the water temp and all and completely ignored what the other guys have told me. After three throwbacks in two hours I figured maybe I should listen to the advice, lol. Moved to a deeper ledge and it was on! Caught more fish on minnows but the biggest ones bit straight jigs. It payed to have both in the spread. Water temp was pushing 60° and the fish were 13-15' deep in 16-22fow. Polished off a 30 fish limit in the cooler and had plenty of ones that went back to the lake. Had one over 17" two over 16" and 16 over 14". It was another beautiful blessing of a day and I sure had a blast! Another gallon bag of fillets for spring camp!

2 hours 46 minutes, 183 miles from my house to Tommy's. May pack my truck with a tent and stuff, head down for a couple of days next week.

10 day forecast doesn't look good for tent camping. March will roar out and April will roar in.
