    Default Winds in Grenada.

My fishing buddy and I will be bringing our wives out this weekend to fish. Can we launch near Hugh White, have cabin booked there, and if so any advice on where to fish to stay out of the wind? Forecast is showing wind at 15 with 20mph gusts on Friday.

I think you can put in at the state park, already be on the south side of the lake so that's good. Fishing is abosolutely crazy right now, scattered doesn't describe it. Just east of Wolfe Creek (the creek you will unload in at the state park) is Piney Woods, its the next hollow, should be some stake beds in there to fish if pole fishing, if spider rigging or long lining or even cranks (heard of a good stringer coming off cranks today) hit the flats, don't be afraid to fish shallow or deep either. You find a pattern stick with it, be good for a day only if its like it has been lately. Good luck, stay safe and if all else fails you can fish the spillway in the old river run, there's a boat ramp down there just don't fish with more than one pole per person.

It's gonna be a nice crowd out there I'm sure the fish are scattered out but when or if they start snapping u can have a real fun time. Have fun and respect the elements. It's gonna be ruff

Good luck to all, absolutely no telling how many tournament boats will be there.
I hope you have a 20 ft boat to handle the conditions.
