Man that was a great read! I have always been tempted to go wading around Brown's Landing or on the Trace but them gators scare me. Glad you got to catch a good mess and your right about watching that cork disappear....I LOVE IT TOO

I've thought the same thing there along with several of the sloughs and oxbows upriver. I hadn't seen any old snaggletooths yet this year so I gave it a go. Saw my first one the other day though..... so we will see. I used to do it all the time and they never bothered me but I used to do a lot of things that I now wonder how I lived through
