One of the perks of being retired is going when you want, I do not fish Saturdays/ Sundays because of that reason you stated.

I'm there with ya tryp. Not retired but my schedule allows me to fish during the weeks. I don't do Saturday unless and am meeting someone on the lake. Luckily there aren't any bass tournaments that I am aware of on the same day as spring camp. Just one small crappie tournament with just a few boats.

It happened at least 10 times this morning. Once two boats came through side by side and had to weave through the crappie boats. They never let up.

I was nowhere near the channel markers BTW.

typical barnett bass fisherman etiquette. its an awesome fishery but i will stay at home before i fish it on a weekend. i got a really short temper when it comes to that kind of crap. it doesn't cost a penny to show respect.

I rather have them zip by me at a reasonable distance, about had the Sheriffs boat throw me overboard on Butla last summer. Came within 20 feet full throttle while I was leaning over to unhook a catfish, it knocked me on the floor. Not sure if he was trying to create a rescue scenario / simulation, but it dang near worked
