    I use snaps at times when the fish are picky I will tie to keep my bait level.

    Loop knot is the ticket.. Keeps jig horizontal and makes it much easier to get free when you drop it in the thick stuff...

    loop knot . 8lb. unless fishing ultra clear then it's 6 or even 4 lb. test . Stren original clear blue fluorescent .

    Going to have to stay with Vicious Hi-Vis ...can't see clear to tie anymore

    Yep, blind Geezer for sure..I broke a crank off last summer..time I got one tied back on had gone over 400 yards!!!!

    I painted a yard sign black and put it on my work bench when tying double minnow rigs and such. I really helps to see the hi-vis line when I am tying in the shop. I also drive a short piece of wire into the work bench to hold 3 way swivels while tying. The arthritis in my hands is as much a hindrance as my eye sight.

    If you try the snaps definitely get the stainless ones .
