Southern crappie 14
Ozarks are stout for sure, Southerns are very good for the price prolly the best. I have a new set of Berkley Trolling Rods in 14s and really like them, maybe the best hook set I have had in a rod. Got a set of Denali on the way, depending on how they handle the weight one or the other will be for sale. The Berkley s have surprised me pleasantly
The Southern Heavy rod is the best of those for a 3 oz weight, the Bucks not so much. I used 3 oz on the Berkleys Wed and they did fine, most of the bend out toward the top section. Pushed minners this morning with 2 oz and the Berkleys did real good.
With that said the Southern Heavy and regular trolling poles are some kinda tuff and if I had not got a dang good deal on the Berkleys and the Denallis that is the way I would have went and may anyway. Really like the hook set on the Berkleys, you can jerk a knot in his tail quick with them.
Not much help am I>???:biggrin
Rees you got a set of Denali's coming? If I had your money I'd throw mine away. LOL Will like to hear how you like them and how much weight they can handle. By the time you pay tax and or shipping them Denali's are over 70 bucks a rod aren't they? If you end up selling some 14 footers let me know John, thanks.
I won't have that in em I assure you, lol.
B'n"M 14' or 16' BGJP's are the best for sure!
