I keep a pretty good eye on it but I missed this one, talked to Tiger when he had got in the truck he said lightning was striking very close to them. Knew I couldn't get to Choctaw, right call on that cause when I did head in my bilge pump had quit and the butt end was full of water and would not plane off. Tied up in a pocket out of the wind and waited it out, caught a break and came in. Have a head ache from lightning strikes so close 5 or 6 times that it hurt my ears and shook the boat.

That sounded like a rough and dangerous morning,John. Glad you made it out OK. I was planning to go today but we had to keep the grand kids.
Could have been any of us.. I was lucky to live so far north and judge off sight and sound before daylight this morning (weather reports & radar useless), plus my eyes was still glued shut from working in this heat all week, so I was looking for an excuse.. Lol. Glad you made it out Rees and tiger!! It was a pop up storm, plus a grower.. and then it just hovered over us.. no one saw it really. No wonder weather men get it from time to time![]()
