Pulled cranks this morning. Put in at Teckville and went east pulling thru pockets and clearing in the timber 14' - 16' of water. I caught I bet ya 60 short fish with only three keepers, plus 8 or 10 white bass. Dropped lines at 7:02 first fish on at 7:06 and it didn't stop until 10:45 when I hightailed and ran away from them shorties. I took my jig pole intending to jig tall timber, but shorts wore me out so bad I was back at the ramp at 11:15. I was solo today pulling 4 poles and buddy I'm beat

Bandit 300 spring craw yellow this morning, glad I only had the one. Everytime I put it back out it was bam...and Butla gave me my best ratios this year pulling cranks, but if I had to guess if you want keepers go to Nader.. Butla is a harsh and cruel mistress, but I love her so. And Enid & Sardis can be good, if you find the big fish. I just didn't locate them this morning and was to darn busy reeling them in and tossing back to think right...

Yes sir, talked to a couple of guys from Arkansas loading up when I was leaving. They fished Saturday & Sunday and said they had at least 150 shorts (a lot of 11" same as me) with a total of 7 keepers (4 Saturday / 3 yesterday). They were spider rigging, out of all the shorts I caught on cranks not one was a causality, all got the rear hook in the lip. So to me that was the only success I had yesterday. :-)

At Enid several throwbackers were lightly hooked but appeared to have problems when tossed back. Pressure change perhaps.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
