Do you have a systematic way of fishing cranks, or do you just throw some out and hope? How do you determine what colors to start with?

I store my cranks in the discontinued double sided bass pro boxes. (They hold 30 on each side ,so 60 cranks a box)I have 6 boxes full I usually keep on my boat ,two boxes have some orange paint on them. The two with orange paint have single colors in them and the ones without paint there grouped by colors.Example, orange boxes will only have one pink, one chrome clown, one mistake, boxes without orange paint will have 4 mistake,5 chrome clowns,5 pink.I work out of the orange boxes until I key in on a color then I go to the boxes without orange on them at that time.

I start out by looking for shad.....usually find them along old river runs and creek ledges......then I follow the ledges. I start out with a different color on each pole.....when I see what color they seem to like then i change some of the others. I always set my depth a couple ft above the average depth of the fish I see. Works for me.

Not about finding fish...how do you decide what baits to throw first?? Do you have a system for selecting what to throw first..or just grab something, and hope
Sometimes I will use my Color C Lector to get a idea what color or color range to start off with at the depth I am seeing fish. ....but most of the time I just do like blueball does.
