I will ALWAYS start out with a couple of dark colors(black/dark green/dark blue) and at least one shad pattern. Always good to throw in a pink. I'll mix up the rest according to the weather and what water depth I'm working. I tend to go against the grain and run a lot of dark colors regardless of the sunlight.

Dark colors early in the day and then lighten up as the day lightens up, that does not always apply as you seen the other day, white spatterback has been good all day just as blackbubblegum has.
I like Blueballs idea of always starting with a bait you don't normally fish giving it a shot.

I start with two Special Mate boxes that hold 120 baits each..put two baits of each color in each box..one box is Bandits..One box full of Arkies...for me to keep a color in the box, it has to have caught fish for three trips..All my Bandits are proven...still have to fish a few Arkies..No doubt they will work...I believe the "light on light..dark on dark" deal also....I start with the same 8 colors each day..each rack has four colors..I will set a timer for 60 minutes...will change non-productive baits out with some baits from the next two racks...next hour do the same..until I get two or three productive baits...On days they hit everything, I leave them alone...I divide my fishing day in half...set my phone alarm, and force myself to move to a new spot if not catching fish move to another area..Usually start at 1.7, and let the fish figure my speed.. Usually short pull first..

I also carry a Plano 370 full of unproved one of a color baits. I will usually try a few during the day.. Let me say one thing..I am a die hard Bandit fan..period...I have purchase pretty much every color Arkie makes, and am in the process of proving each one to myself..Pradco pretty much abandoned the crappie fisherman when they purchased Bandit...Arkie on the other hand has done everything he can to give crappie people what we ask for. You can go to Mitch...prove to him it will sell..he will make it...that means allot to me...even though he has three MS Gewbers working with him I consider friends..You need to try these baits...

Bandit still has alot of colors even though everyone thinks the sky is falling.I have been doing pretty good on a special color bandit I had painted, not always about store colors. If the store makes them everyone has them, like to have some patterns others don't haveSystem
