We used to troll for salmon at nite in Lake Michigan using a green light stick in front of the bait and caught loads of fish in front of our crank baits and spoons down to a 100 or so ft. deep. I bet a mini light stick attached in front of the bait some way would work if you knew where the fish were. Just a thought. It doesn't have to be attached to the bait as a few inches on the line in front might work.
Thought about this for a bit. Get the small green light sticks that you put on bobbers or are made to go on rod tip for bank fishing at nite and find some heat shrink that fits it on tip and drill hole in rest of exposed heat shrink. Make a loop knot in line a couple of inches above Crankbait and tie to loop. Now you got me thinking of trying this.![]()
