Since i won the Bandit crankbaits I decided to give them a try.
I used 2 old spinning reels and 2 x 14ft heavy action jig poles. I understand that the 300's will run at 10 to 12 feet if there is 55 feet of line out from where the line meets the water. I cast them behind the boat and put in my spyderloks and pulled them at 0.6 to 1.4mph. I snagged 3 catfish and caught 2 crappie. I would have thought i might have caught more but it was a good first try. I may need to see about trying to figure out how to push crankbaits because its difficult to pull from the front of my boat. My boat is really not made for fishing out of the back.

That's what I did. Line got under boat a couple of times. Overall I think did pretty good. Wind was tough and I had to really make sweeping turns.

Keep your speed up 1.3 and above and the lines will not be bad about getting under the boat.

Also, be sure to put your big motor in gear, you get the line just right, and you will, it will wind around the prop that may require you to pull the prop to clean it off.

Yes, keeps the prop from spinning in the current you are creating with the motion of the boat.
