    Default Crank baits on downriggers?

Nice thing about the down rigger in my opinion is that you can get the bait down faster at a slower speed. Be sort of like a tadpole on your line or a weight. I think the right depth, combined with the SLOWER speed might work. I'm drowning minners tho. Crank baits on downriggers?

Size: 92.0 KB For stripers I use 3-5 oz. for crappie I use 1/2-1 oz weights. Depends on speed and how deep you want to fish. It's a lot better than down rigger and works great for crappie.

Yep. The downrigger was more trouble than it was worth. I tried it for a while but too much trouble. Went to trolling like normal after striper fishing all morning and caught a 29.5 inch striper on a bandit with 6 lb line. Great fight.

I've used a weight with these and it works fine. I've also lost a few of the snap weights. There is a dive curve on the Precision Trolling app for snap weights. It's called the 20/20 rule or something like that.
