At slow speeds my screen does get turned around. So I must be set on course up. I remember I made a change in set up when I first got it cause everything seemed backwards.

Course up or heading up. I want what's on my port side to show on my port side, and the same for starboard when I'm running, especially in the dark. North up is fine if you're going north, but the screen is reversed when going south. Left is right and right is left. I want my view on the screen the same as what my eyes are seeing.

To each there own on this, I like a constant. I have seen folks turn a paper map all over the place and never have understood it.

I agree to Each Their Own John, but I want where I'm heading at the top of my screen. It's the same view as what your eyes see. No left or right calculations that way.
