Man. I had a major change of heart on rain gear this past spring when mother nature forced a true hurricane test on me and my partner. It rained 3 inches in 30 minutes on us during a spring trip on Truman Lake. The bilge pumped for an hour after it quit raining. I put on Cabela guide gear and my partner put on Frog Togg. I was soaked and he was bone dry. What happens is the outer layer becomes sooo saturated that it then compresses the waterproof membrane against the inner garments. The membrane can only work if there is an air gap if not then it actually wicks the moisture in instead of out. Since the Frog Toggs did not have an outer layer my buddy stayed dry as bone. I will never go anywhere without a set of plain toggs. Sometimes cheaper is better. They are not as comfortable or good looking but they are drier. If you notice when the storms get real bad those crabbers are wearing nothing but old school rubber slickers. No moisture getting in or out.

They are great for rain. I purchased a little big so that can later underneath during the colder months.

Cabela's guide wear never gotten wet with them on !!!!! .

Got soaked in my froggs this spring in a steady,but not hard, rain this spring. Leaked in the seams in the butt after an hour or so.

Yep Toggs leak & soak. OK for a summer time shower. BP runs small. CABELAS way to go
