I Wish

Y'all got it right. I saw a small truck and trailer parked and left on the ramp off to the side near the water a couple of times a year or so back. I started to get disgruntled about it til I saw the boat and the driver come in one day. It was a little old man who could hardly get around. He probably couldn't have walked up and down that ramp to the parking lot. I think he was doing his best to hang on to a little quality in his life. That softened my hard spot in a hurry. Haven't seen him this year. Hope all is well.

I fish a lot with a couple guys that aren't as blessed as me and it takes them a little longer to get in the boat. So tying up a ramp for a little longer than some doesn't bother me one bit,we all pay to use these ramps so b patient.

Kinda like fishing with a couple ol crippled folks huh?!?.. I have no problem with someone being a lil slow moving its the people that get on the boat ramp that aren't ready to unload...

When I was a young man, we used to gather at the most used public ramp on Ross Barnett Res. and grade people loading and unloading boats, from 1-10. We laughed and made some people mad. With a few bud lights of course. We saw it all. We could never understand why people got so mad! There was enough of us, to fend off any really mad folks.

It should be posted at ramps used by pontoons and ski boats to not back down the ramp until all the boat gear is loaded in the boat.

I usually go by myself. I pull to a spot out of the way and get all my stuff together and tie boat to the trailer, back down and shoot boat off, pull back up a bit , jump out and move boat over to the side. Most of the time I'm on the ramp less than 2 minutes.

I've never understood why people think it's ok to block the ramp while they load the boat.
