I like the guys who crank and run their motor in the lot.... doesn't hold me up but I know their mechanic is laughing.

Laughing and smiling cuz he knows where his paycheck is coming from the next week. ha ha it only takes one dry start to ruin a impeller

I usually turn my key just a quick second to make sure the motor will turn over. I figure better than finding out the battery is dead after launching, which I've seen quite a few times. I've never had any problems with my motor.

Also, its ok to ask some folks if they'd like some help if having issues getting launched. It gets aggravating but I've grown to accept and be a little more patient over the years. Especially when I see guys alone and often time my elders. I try to at least put myself in there shoes down the road and can appreciate that they're still out enjoying life and fishing. And that maybe I might be them!!!
