Tom, I had what I think was the first Yamaha outboard on KY Lake back in 1984. I've ran them ever since but the reviews I read and the 6 year warranty on the Suzuki make my mind up. Bill said they were awesome motors.

My 140 will be 4 stroke. Never had one but as much as I like to talk, it will be nice not having to yell over that 2 stroke noise.

When a guy tells me, on our first conversation, that if I can find somebody giving the boat I want away he will pay me to come get his boat, I pretty well feel like he's going to pull out all the stops to sell me a boat.

That trolling control was one of the features that put me over the top on the Suzuki. I typically don't troll with my big engine but being able to customize the idle speed on the Suzuki with a switch on the dash might make me more inclined to use the big motor some. Being 4 stroke doesn't hurt.
