    I don't own a boat, but the proposed fees seem pretty reasonable.

    The user fees will vary by hull length and will be valid from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30.

    * Boats under 26 feet — $35 annual, $90 for three years.
    * Boats 26 feet and above — $50 annual, $135 for three years.
    * 10-day, any size, consecutive days — $10.

    If they use the money properly, I'm all for it. Update the ramps and restrooms. Things like that

    I don't mind a user fee or permit system at all, I just wish they would use some of the money to pull all the rebar out of the lake. It is so dangerous and causes thousands of dollars in damages every year.

    If they do I'll talk to John who runs the place n see if he'll listen Feesh. Wouldn't take but a few days if they just put someovc pipe over the top of all of them bout 3 feet long. See them better and you'd still know where the stumps were

    Don Don i think you might be wrong about the couple of days to mark the rebar at Rez . It took several years for people to put it out . The ones you can see are no problem it's the ones that are just under the water that cause the problems and damage . As for the user fee if they do put it in effect wait and make sure it's approved before getting a sticker last time they collected a lot of money only to have to give it back and it was a hassle seems no one knew who wrote the checks . But I'm all for it if they will use it for the ones who pay the fee's not a walking trail from the bay to 43 .

    If they lower the lake a couple of feet, they can get in there and set them pretty fast. Yeh, I was abit off on the day or 2. IF they got busy with 3-4 boats or got with fishermen to help, they could get most of them covered with a 1" PVC pipe pretty fast. To heck with a walking trail. That'd hack me off to no end. Couple more bathrooms, Redo a few ramps piers. maybe add a couple more fishing piers and add a beach right there at the park near the Madison Landing like they are at Pelahatchie Park

    I don't have a dog in this fight, but what will keep the PVC from floating/blowing off the rebar?

    Exactly, PVC gets brittle with continued exposure to sunlight. Besides, I don't want the crap marked. I want it removed. It's those little 2 inch long pieces just underwater that tear you up. They could lower the lake level, and cut off the tops of the stumps. Most of these are only a few inches in diameter and are in 8-24 foot of water, so i do not see how removing 18-24 inches could hurt anything.
