I'm thinking of heading to Sardis but the weathermans scaring me with all these wind and storm reports,,,, Think Saturday will be safe enough for my glass Ranger? shes pretty stout boat at 19.5 ft, but I really hate getting her on the trailer by myself when it starts blowing hard,,, Last time I went, she got tossed up on the concrete a few times before I got back from getting the trailer,,,Maybe next time I'll park on teh sand until it's time to load up.... I need a good fishin partner really,,,,,someone who knows when it's safe or not and where the dang fish might be,,,suggestions anyone? I need to stay safe,,, wife only has half a million on me for insurance,,, She says that won't even pay her trip to Monoco when I'm dead...lol...������

Always a threat . I lived on Enid 14 years . Caught fish when the weatherman kept tons of folks at home . Then on days he said would be good we had 25 mph . winds . Folks that live 30 min, or less from the lake are blessed . Old geezers that go and camp will tell you , you just have to be there when it's good .Having a large enough boat thatwill allow you to fish all conditions is the way to go . jmo

Just have to watch the wind and pick the right boat ramp. All I have is a 14 footer... sometimes have to drive all the way around the lake just to put in.

One thing I've learned about Sardis... If you have any doubt at all, stay off the water. That, and wear a life jacket. Good luck, but that lake scares the Hell outta me.

Should be safe in June when the water is slick, the gnats are thick and you're beggin for a breeze. Any other time SW or NE winds will produce rollers before you know it.
