Not one of our better trips to Washington! Quality of fish was good which is usually the case just not the numbers we were expecting. We were slow trolling and didn't want to fight the crowd at Cordell's where we have caught lots of fish in the past. I decided to fish another spot where we have caught fish. Fished a ledge with 10 to 14 FOW that shallows to about a 6' flat. We found lots of fish staged there ready to move up just couldn't seem to get a good bite, picked up a few fish there but it was slow. Finally decided to break down and head down on the south end and fish west of Glen Allen landing in 6 to 8' FOW. Picked up a few nice fish there fishing about 2' deep but only fished a small area with about 10 other boats. I was bullheaded and just didn't go belly up in the middle of the boats at Cordell's. Not sure how folks fared in that area but they must have had them hemmed up with all of the boats there. We talked to some folks that were single pole jig fishing in the cypress trees that had caught some nice fish along with decent numbers.

i usually easy up in the middle of the crowd and fish with everyone not sure why I didn't yesterday! Lol!

You didnt miss anything...we were there and ended up with a few...no big fish. We saw a fish caught every once in a while among all the boats. Just wasnt a good day yesterday, would be my guess. We fished some areas a little south of there where we have caught them before and did not catch a fish.

    Thanks for the information!

I just knew we had messed up by not fishing between Cordell's and Alligator Hole. Wish I had know that last night I would have been able to sleep better! Lol! Best fish we caught weighed 2.39lb and came from the south end of the lake.
