    Default Pickwick last weekend

Had a good weekend with Grant (towboat troller) catching fish, frying fillets and boiling crawfish. First trip up there, caught some really nice fish. I always heard the fish at pickwick weren't huge, but we pulled out some really nice fish, and saw Grant weigh 2 at or above 2.5 lbs from the day before. Had a blast doing some deep water fishing.

Man that's nice I spend. Lot of time at pickwick. Used to be big into bass fishing spent most of my weekends up there. I have about 50 grabbling boxes put out up there too. I'm done with bass fishing Im hooked on crappie just trying to learn this crappie fishimg on my own now. I've got several structures made I'm taking to pickwick this week if the rain will stop long enough

Tiger, send Grant a PM, he can point ya in the right direction. Lot of guys on here smack em at pickwick a good bit. With all this rain and as much water as they're pulling it may be slow for a week or so. It started getting a little muddy Sunday.

Mo it was good seeing you and Grant on the lake Sunday glad you had a great weekend, if the water temp would come on up a little more it would be on for sure.

I think we are going to try to get after em again first or second week of april after this water has time to calm down and Grant gets some time from work. I like that long line fishing, its fun, and something different from what I usually do. i'm going to give it a shot down here a little more now that I have a little better feel for it.

Great mess of fish. How deep you guess they were? Sure have a nice fishing rid.

We were in grant's boat, and it is set up really well for long lining. We caught fish from 24-33 feet. They were not really concentrated. We marked a lot in the deeper water, hard to control the depth as windy as it was and as much line as we had out. It was just a slow grind to catch em!
