yes it will be strong enough...I single pole jig with one and handle them just fine. As far as places to stay in grenada I am no help. I know that you will get tons of responses on here from some members that are more familiar with places to stay.

Its plenty strong enough personaly I prefer a 10 ft when using single pole. Ozark rod 10 ft rear seat to be exact. But if your lucky enough to find one open the cabins at hugh white st park are nice and alot of people stay at the #8 motel it out close to the lake. If there are no openings there grenada is full of hotels.

Sorry I haven't gotten back been working overtime for trip money. I have a 10' Ozark and 12' bmpj spider rig rods. But I haven't worn my waiders for a while. I know it depends on the Dee weather but my son wants to mostly spider rig do I need to plan the trip early in February?

Early March at the earliest unless we get a lot of rain, mid March will be better and we are having a our spring camp then. Your poles should be fine and bring both, either can be real good.
Good luck whenever you decide on, safe travels and safe boating!!
