Are the crappie more in transition there in February? And where are you holding camp?
Main camp will be at North Graysport campground.
The cook out and all Saturday will most likely be held below the dam at the big pavillion beside the spillway.
In February tipically Grenada is very low, like really low. Muddies up very easy and is hard to get on something. Lake Washington is a much better choice in February than Grenada. Last of February and beginning of March things start turning on normally.
Weather is such a huge factor, rain makes us jump, both the last 2 years we have had late winter days folks were trying to fish on a 5 foot rise in 24 hours.
Big key to coming down in the spring is to be flexible, Sardis is only 50 miles North with Enid in between, be willing to make a move if need be.

Why not hang a few large tarps from the trees in the campground and have some folding tables? Instead of all the driving around from here to there.
There is several of us staying in the cabins at Hugh White State Park. Come and join the party.
Lets go soak a line. Pat
Rees would like to come down in march do you have any thing ?
Cabins at Hugh White on Grenada or George Cossar on Enid are both good. Been to both. Cossar puts you in the middle of all three lakes so gives some options on where to fish unless you are only fishing Grenada.
Feb can and usually is an excellent month for really big slabs, all it takes is a couple of days of warm weather to turn them on.

Weather is always the biggest unknown challenge. The wind can't possibly be worse than last year. 40 years of fishing and the worst I've ever seen.
