John Kyle state park at Sardis, Geo. Cossar state park at Enid , Hugh White state park at Grenada have cabins. Check their websites they fill up fast for the spring. About $80 per day. I've stayed in one at Sardis, 1 queen in bedroom and a sofa bed in living room/kitchen, small kitchen. I've stayed in a few at Enid, 2 queen beds in one room, living room and larger kitchen. I've drove and found the ones at Grenada, I wouldn't stay there, location, don't know anything about the cabins.
Food, besides what you can cook. Como Steakhouse, some say it's worth the drive and price is good. Batesville has a Cracker Barrel, other restaurants and fast food. Walmart, 2 other gro stores, twice the ice. Oakland has a catfish shack, open weekends, buffet option. Grenada has a lot of everything.
Late Feb early March is in my opinion the best time of the year if you wanna catch BIG crappie, sounds to me like you picked a good time to go, good luck on your trip, I am pretty sure you will see me there during that time :)
I stayed at John Kyle State Park, used John Harrison for the guide at Lake Enid , and ate at Como's Steak House. Best money I ever spent. The steak was one of the best, if not the best, I have ever eaten. John Harrison is a hoot. You'll enjoy him, IF you can get him. Better call and book soon.
