The river is getting right for oxbow fishing at quite a few lakes. Wherever they were caught, good mess of nice fish

Wind stone, ever since the day my terrova decided on its own to cut donuts and wrapped 8 lines around the trolling motor and the outboard I figured about 3 per person was all I could handle. Might try 4 again one day but 3 creates less headaches. Wider dispersion. I pull 18, 12 and 6 ft rods. Add a rod and I start getting tangles. But your thinking is right.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

I run six myself for now, but plan to move to 8. Had some first timers in the boat and they stayed in the other lines with 3 rods each, but I do a decent job keeping them untangled. Feel you on the trolling motor death circle... Did it once and quit pulling until I could get the right equipment.

My I pilot sometimes thinks for itself. Not sure why. Boy I sure wish the new one with the auto deploy had been out when I got mine. For little ol' me the position I have to get in is tough. Mainly because the xpress h51 has the smallest front deck around. I can sit on the front and danged near put my feet in the water.so when I have to deploy I am in a dangerous position. Too lazy to rigmy pro craft
