First fish on the new boat

Pulled crankbaits on the Rez this morning. I put out a wide variety of colors to tempt the Pomoxis palate, including an Awesome Pink.

First fish? Yep, a slimer on the pink bait. (Why do they love pink?) At least it was a good one - 18 pound flathead!

I thought I had hung a stump.

been there done that . Caught a 17 lb. blue at Sardis lower lake spider rigging last year . would have been better to hang a stump ! got him in "on all 5 lines " !!!

I got lucky yesterday and only caught one slimer at Okatibbee pulling cranks.

I catch a bunch of channels over here on the oxbows but never lucky enough to catch a flathead...catch way to many drum too!...they love the pink over here too

Yeah, I'd keep the flathead for sure, hate the others!!!
