    Default Pushing cranks?

    What speed?
    Size weight?
    Best way to rig it?
Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.

2 to 3 oz weight about 3 or 4 foot above the crank, at 2 mph depth = 1/2 line out with the 3 oz weight.

I pushed at Enid Sunday morning a few hours, caught 2. Took the weights off and let out some line, left at 11 with 10 keepers and threw back prolly 40. Needless to say my excitement for pushing went out the window. It is better for control and tite places no doubt but to me its more about production and too I have no doubt some days it just don't matter and other the pushing may be the ticket. Got the weights in the boat with a leader on em ready to go but once they hit the flats good I just don't see a need.

I like it a lot for fishing shallower water. That way I don't run the boat 4' over the top of fish in 10' of water. Let's me fish in front of the boat. I've run from 1.2-2 mph. There are times I can't get bit pulling, and other times I can't get bit pushing. All in what they want. If you're not getting bit, prob fishing too deep. Some lakes it works well on, others pulling is best. All what you have confidence in

I use Scott V s rigs. Works great. Sometimes I push and pull at the same time off my toon. When they bite they bite. When they dont- oh well. LOL.
