I personally don't want anything in my way, I like the mounts in the floor for the seats so when I get ready to turn it doesn't matter which way I turn. SpyderLoks can be locked in so many positions it aint even funny, love the adjustability and the fact that when you set em they aren't gonna move unless you did a poor job mounting them. The only thing I have seen bother them is a big ole boy about 6'3" at 270 or so, they held him pretty good, from his chest up he was dry and on a cool day that was a good thing. The rack did bend at the main pole where the Tbar joins but it didn't break lose, had to break it off to stow the trolling motor, things are tuff I tell ya and now the latter on the back of the Cat has been tested as well.
By the way, ifn that new rig don't have a ladder on the back it would be a good add on, haven't used it myself but it seems folks have trouble staying in my boat for some reason.
