Tell me this. How does a crappie now the difference between a stump out of the water and a tree to spawn around? Been fishing a lot of years and catch them spawning on stumps but not the dead trees. Also, caught lots of fish the last 5 days. Not one female w/o eggs and not one male with a bloody tail but I know I've caught plenty on what I'm sure was on beds. I think the spawn is a long ways from over.
