Thread: Sardis or elsewhere?

Hi all,

My 76 yr old father has talked about going down to Sardis for many years but has never made it down. My brother and I would like to take him on a short excursion for a couple of days. Is Sardis our best bet? Thought about a cabin at the state park there. Or should we look at one of the other lakes?

We have a little free time the latter half of May and we would probably do a Sunday to Wed trip. Your advice on the best lake to fish and places to stay would be greatly appreciated. We are strictly catch and release so we aren't looking to fill a freezer, just would like to get him on some larger slabs than we have here in Illinois.
