    Default Spawning Question


    Many times during the spawn you will come across an area where you caught a few the day before or you may just come across an area and smell spawning fish like you do bream beds. I am just curious if that smell is crappie all gathered up spawning or is it where they have already cut the eggs loos or both? Any use is spending time looking hard in that area? Any ideas here from so many educated, experienced, experts? I know it is not bream and I know it is not bass, so eliminate that speculations.

    happened to me several times this year. i searched in the area but only caught fish that were transitioning. I wish a biologist would look at this and shoot an answer. i had this to happen a few years back and got on them as good as i ever have.

    we found them in a old run, same smell and wore them out, never thought to much about it..
