I was curious if there have ever been any alligator sightings in any of the big three lakes ( enid sardis and grenada)? How far up north of the state are they in.

i know a man that works for the COE at sardis saw one hooked (bout 3 ft. long) just west of lower lake at sardis. fellow hooked him fishing from bank and wanted help turning him loose.

There was an article in the paper years ago and a picture in the paper of one that was caught in a net at butla.

Yep, its was last year, they actually removed 2 from below the dam. We caught one here in Coffeeville a few years ago.

Thats what i thought, I was actually searching for a newspaper article from Grenada, it had a picture of about a 10 footer swimming below the dam or maybe the emergency spillway when I found the above article.
