Yesterday, I picked up my jig poles for the first time this year. I need to put new line on them, but I started wondering "what" new line I wanted. I am thinking about going with a braided line for my jig poles for extra sensitivity. I have never used braid for crappie fishing before.

I know some of you gewbers use braid for pulling cranks, but do any of you use it on your jig poles.

What are the benefits and what do you see as the potential problems?

Any suggestions for the brand and diameter/test?
