Default A real jig poler at Sardis today

Saw a man who I would guess to be late 60's fishing two jig poles in one hand and handling the trolling motor with his left hand. I watched him for a good long while and I can tell you, I sure would not want that cat squeezing my hand.

May have been same guy, I saw that a couple of years ago on Butla. Watched him fish for hours like that.

that's probably my friend. he taught me years ago. we both fish that way. back seated real and then cross the poles like an X in your hand. ease those jigs up against a stump or whatever. or slow moving. ain't so much hard on your hands as much on the shoulder and forearm area. bad thing is once you start fishing that way and try with one you feel almost naked. we were down just past coon town.
