Torrence landing is about 14 minutes from u. 8 of those minutes are gravel slow speed. U will not even have to crank big motor to get to fish. Hope this helps. As long as wind is not NW or SW, u will be ok.

I found this the other day, a map resource of lakes in the state. It doesn't show current launch status but it does indicate which ramps are open year round.

No reason to drive all over the place trying to see which ramps you can get away with. Your camping on the north end of the dam so launch at the south end of the dam and enjoy a great day of fishing.

Cool link, what they report as open and what is usable is 2 different things entirely. Youngs you can unload year round, when low like now you can only go up or down the river very little; North Graysport is high and dry right now; South Graysport a jon boat can unload as Bird Down said, very shallow; Choctaw is good to go; Pineywoods is high and dry; Wolfe Creek is good to go; State Park is good to go; Grenada Landing is good to go; North Adbuntment is high and dry; Torrence is good to go; Scuna/Turkey is high and dry; Bryant is high and dry; and Gums Crossing is high and dry. There is another above Youngs but doubt many here have ever fished it, should be able to unload but cant go anywhere, cant remember what it is called but its across the river from Sabogla Wildlife Management Area.
