I think crappie are at all different levels most year long. They don't all hang out the same.

I used to think depthfinders were just toys, but now i'm a believer. I caught fish today i never would have seen without one. I hit the banks early with nothin' doin'. I drove around and marked or thought i marked fish, but figured they were too deep for crappie in march. I tried riggin' anyway. Long story short i kept 12 and put as many small fish back. All at 13-16' deep in 25' of water. Is it unusual for them to still be so deep? The water was 55-59 degrees so maybe not. I dunno. No pictures. My phone's too old to download the tapatalk app and i can't find my ipod.

BETTER THAN PURTY GOOD ! CONGRATS .![]()
All don't move up for spawn at the same time so that will be like a waiting room and also after the spawn the female will move back to that spot and wait for male. Part of there spawn behavior. So hope you mark your spot they will stack up there for a little bit before going to summer hut.
