I would think they sense them.The question would be if it bothers them or if they associate that click with danger.

I would think they could very easily pickup some part of the system in their lateral line. Jmho

If we had all the answers, they would really be in trouble.

really turns 'em on!!!! Actually back a hundred years ago I was catching bass schooling on norfork................. Topwater on a devil's horse. They would start to school when I had the trolling motor running. Figured the sound messed up the shad and the bass saw the oppurtunity to ambush them.

Had a friend who was addicted to green trout fishing. He would run his bass boat over a point in the river to entice the bass to school. Worked really well.

I think they hear it, but they're also hearing a bunch of other stuff too- multiple trolling motors, big motors, waves shuffling gravel (where there are waves and gravel)- all sorts of sounds. I know that if you put your ears underwater on a busy lake, you'll hear similar things.

I think they're more tuned in to big sounds, like dropping stuff on the deck, etc.

IMO!! I think they bite better when it's turn off!!! Reason... Bc on the hummingbird you will see that big ol stump with fish all over it an the screen is covered with fish (When you see so many fish you think you can snag em type of spot). An No bites. Sometimes I turn it off an just fish!! Lets me think there is just no fish in that spot versus my skills!!! They bite better when it's turned off!!!!!
