Santee-Cooper in South Carolina home of the first land locked strippers. They produced most of the first stocking strippers in most of the large lakes around the country that we have today. That's the first time I ever saw side pulling. Back in those days no one had trolling motors or Bass boats. Most were hand built wood row boats from rental stalls. People would go out with small gas motors and drift side ways pulling large minnows for stripe's. They would catch bass and huge crappie and hated both. They wanted those stripes. Would keep crappie to eat but just threw monster bass on the bank. I was camping on Lake Murry which is also in SC back in the 70's. Took my first wife out one evening drifting big bass minnows and she hooked one. Got it to side of boat after about a hour. Lost him right at side of boat. Must have weighed at least 30/35 lb's.

That would be what you would have if you pulled up to goat island and left slabin stranded there wearing his bikini.
