    Default Jig ..size and material

Curious about what you guys prefer in a jig. I tie jigs as a hobby and make them out of several materials. Feathers , yarn, rubber, plastics. Do you feel like one has an advantage over the other? Also, what weight do you feel like is best?

Also, what length is best? Do longer "skirts" or plastics cause short strikes? I'm thinking nothing longer than the average minnow?
