    I got my 998 in and I am ready to install. I have a Nitro and it has a step down hull on the transom. Can I mount the transducer on the top step. I really don't have room to put it on the bottom. The jack plate leaves plenty of room for the side image to have a clear view?? What's your thoughts??

    Look for a mount that goes on your Jackplate. Know someone makes one just can't remember who.
