    Default Quick trip to Okatibee

After church this morning I talked dad into making a quick trip to tibby. We stay 2.5 hours and ended up with 14. Dad has the grease popping as I type this. Can't wait to get a belly full of these cold water crappie. Water temp was 46.5 and fish were 11 foot deep over 13-20 foot of water. No real pattern other than they wanted anything with Chartruse. Electric Chicken was my favorite today. Oh, out the itty bitty, my dad wont cull nothing at Okatibee. He loves small ones fried crisp.

Way to go, the chartreuse was the color yesterday morning also. I think when they dropped the water in the lake all the crappie headed for the deep water in the creek, by the dam. I never caught a fish deeper than 10 ft but in about 15 ft of water.
I'm gonna be camping the week before you get there. I'll be leaving on the 7th.
