EGO makes two models. The EGO1 slides out when you twist the handle, but is a lightweight model. Bout 40 bucks. The EGO2 is the better one. It has a slide mechanism that you just push the button, sorta like the Primos Trigger Stick shooting sticks. It's about 90 bucks, and it floats if you drop it overboard.

The best I recall when the ego one came out it was about 70 bucks when the ego two came out they lowered the price to about 40 or so. I have the ego one With the rubber netting. I lost one in the river, I wore the second one out, and I'm currently on my third. It is lighter than the ego two and I have never had a fish jump out of it.

They offer a rubber net head like the EGO also. Just snap off one and snap on the other.

Special cudos for my model Josh Sullivan. :-)

The net ain't bad about grabbing bait or jig hooks. It's a Terror on trebles tho!!! That's why I use the EGO 2 for cranking.

Boat has a 115 on it, but can rate up to a 150.

I did the same thing with a cheap Rubber dipnet. The paint handle sticks up in the handle on the old dipnet and use the 4 section handle. It will close down short or reach out and touch them. Also always fill part of the handle with expanding foam. But put in a plug in it or it will fill all of it and not work right. Don't ask how I know that one.
