Shurline paint poles are who make the slider handles. I bought 2 of the paint pole handles (same handle except threaded bolt is a hair different size) for what you can buy one of the slider handles for. It works just the same.

I use and sell both the Crappie Masters net AND the EGO2 slider.
Crappie Masters---Much Lighter, and Longer (160" when let completely out) than the EGO, and it has small diameter holes in the net so I prefer this one for Spider Rigging. The smaller holes keep your weight, rig, and hooks from getting tangled in the net as bad, but the treble hooks of a crank will get hung in the mesh as a fish thrashes around, and it's a tough job to get them out especially if you have 3 or 4 rods going off. If you put expansion foam in the inner tube of the handle, it will not sink. If you don't put the foam in it, I'll get to sell you another one if it falls in the lake!!! :-)
The EGO2---I prefer this net when I pull Cranks because the treble hooks are much easier to remove from the rubber net. With the larger holes, my rig always gets tangled when the weight falls through them when I Spider Rig tho. It slides out to a good length, and it will not sink. It is much heavier than the CM net, but with cranks, you don't have to let it out as far like you do when S Rigging with longer poles, so it's very manageable. I have had to replace the slider handle twice on one of mine however. The mechanism has a tendency to wear out if you slide it a bunch. They are Johnny on the spot to replace them tho!!!!
Just My .02. These are the experiences I've had with these two models. No one net is the best for every job, that's why I use them both.
I would consider each of these nets as the Best in their respective classes.
I am a listening, as I am in the market for a new dipper. My problem is not crappie but dang catfish (5-25 lb) as they tend to thrash about. Also the occasionally largemouth and striped bass.
