Will do, but I'm probably not going to spend much more time on it. I think it was a cabin fever thing. Got equipment re-rigged. Not much left to do. I need to get outside.

Srormcloud great question, one that has been asked for years. I for one do not like to fish the day after a cold front passes with a moderate northwest wind and clear skies, which relates to a rise in pressure. As a cold front approches from the west the wind change from a south to southwest and finally to the west northwest as the front moves through. Surface pressure will follow, what I mean is pressure will continue to fall as the front gets closer then begin to rise behind the front. As summer gets closer the fronts become weaker (less cold air) so the pressure changes are not as severe and as such fishing should not be affected as much. Best time to fish is when you can.

In my 67 years, I've kept track and found that sometimes when I go fishin they bite, and sometimes when I go fishin they don't bite. Several years ago, I too, in a quest for the Holy Grail of When Do Fish Bite, I studied every single thing I could get my fingers on for over a year. Seriously!!! In conclusion, I discerned that with all the expert printed knowledge, PHD's in tow, and getting advice from ole guys sitting and fishin on the bank for a hundred years, I came to a startling conclusion....

Sometimes when I go fish in they bite, and sometimes when I go fishin....well, you see where I'm goin. The one constant I found....when I'm sitting on my backside at home......THEY DON'T BITE!! Get your butt in the boat, on the lake, with a buddy, and enjoy the day....because "sometime they bite and sometime they don't". Sage advice # 1 for the new year.
