    I am proud of the ole boy,he quit dipping and if i remember correctly it been almost year.But we all know what happens when you quit,you start eating.I may have to add another layer of plywood to the front deck.Sorry buddy couldn't resist.

    I'm glad I read this. I was about to bite the bullet and get a double seat. Now I'm leaning toward extra bases. Gona do some measuring and see what I can come up with.

    I build and sell the Dub-L-Seat and I'll be the first to agree with these guys. If at all possible drill the holes and bolt the bases in! Double seat brackets should be a last resort or put in as a personal preference. Personally I won't install them on my rod storage lids and like the ability to move my seat forward and backwards. Now that I've started using the Dub-L-Seat "steel" nothing is "in the way", it lays flat on the deck.
